The Tidelift CLI supports reading the information about the project you are operating on from a file named
.tidelift in your directory. You can download a preconfigured .tidelift file from the web app. Having the file will ensure that the Tidelift CLI will associate all actions with that project, such as checking alignment and requesting a package.
- From the Tidelift web app, navigate to the project and hit the button on the right side of the screen to download the .tidelift file
- Save this file in your project's root directory
- Note that as these files have no API credentials, they can be checked into your source control system
Troubleshooting note: Environment variables and command line flags will take precedence over a .tidelift file.
