The Tidelift CLI supports reading the information about the repository you are operating on from a file named
.tidelift in your directory. You can download a preconfigured .tidelift file from the web app. Having the file will ensure that the tidelift cli will use that repository configuration for alignment as well as requesting new packages if you have a user API key set up.
- From the Tidelift web app, navigate to the repository and hit the button on the right side of the screen to download the .tidelift file
- Save this file in your repository's root directory
- Note that as these files have no API credentials, they can be checked into your source control system
Troubleshooting note: Environment variables and command line flags will take precedence over a .tidelift file.
